The Eritrean experience: When science, leadership and informed public work in tandem, COVID-19 reverses its course
ተመክሮ ኤርትራ፡ ስነ-ፍልጠትን መሪሕነትን ንቑሕ ህዝብን ብሓባር ምስ ዝሰርሑ ኮሮና ቫይረስ ይሰዓር

The trend the course of the COVID-19 in is taking is indeed encouraging. According to the Ministry of Health:
- Out of 39 patients, 19 have been released home.
- So far, no fatalities have been reported out of the admitted COVID-19 patients.
- Apart from the first batch, blamed on passengers who returned home from abroad,no new cases have been found. – – This suggests the initial chain of infection has been disrupted, a step which is crucial for stopping the pandemic.
- That means the government’s preventative and containment measures have worked perfectly.
- That means, contrary to what we hear from negatively wired lots, our health institutions indeed stood up to the challenge. The overwhelming support Eritreans have recently given to the health sector is aimed at bolstering the capacity of our health institutions so that they are in a position to meet even greater challenges.
The above positive trend could only be the result of a nation that has synchronized its resources in the best way possible. Thus:
– Kudos to our infection control officials
– Kudos to our leaders for following science and scientific advice
– Kudos to our artists and activists who worked around the clock to raise the awareness of our people
And Kudos to us, the people, in Eritrea and in the diaspora, for rallying our resources and focus on defeating Corona Virus.
Sure, we have reversed the course of COVID-19 in Eritrea, but we must not lose focus. This is time for doubling our efforts to completely make sure Corona Virus is defeated.
What else? Well, the data speaks for itself. Therefore, it will be a sort of rumbling to say more.

- እዚ ድማ እቲ ናይ መጀመርታ ሰንሰለት ለበዳ ተበታቲኹ ኣሎ ማለት እዩ። – – እቲ ናይ ምልባዕ ሰንሰለት ምብታኹ ድማ ቀዳማይ ዓወት ኣብ ምስዓር ናይቲ ለበዳ እዩ።
- ካብቶም ሕሙማት ዝሞተ የለን
- እዚ ማለት ድማ መንግስቲ ነቲ ለበዳ ምክልኻልን ንምቑጽጻርን ንምስዓርን ዘውጸኦም እስትራተጂታት ቅኑዓትን ብቑዓትን ነይሮም ማለት እዩ።
- ብተወሳኺ፡ እዚ ማለት ድማ ከምቲ ብገለ ወገናት ንሰምዖ ዘይኮነስ፡ ትካላት ጥዕናና ነቲ ብደሆ ብብቕዓት ገጢሞሞ ከም ዘለዉ የርኢ። ኩሉ እንገብሮ ሓገዛት ድማ ነዚ ዓቕሚ ብዝያዳ ንምብራኹ እዩ።
እዚ እወታዊ ስእሊ እዚ ድማ ሃገርና ኤርትራ ዓቕምታታ ኣወሃሂዳ፡ ብሓደ ተላዒላን ብሓደ ርምታ ትስጉም ምህላዋን እዩ ዘርኢ። ስለ’ዚ፡ ነቲ ክምስገን ዝግበኦ ክነመስግን’ዶ ኣይግባእን?
- ክብርን ኣድናቖትን ንክኢላታት ሕማማት ለበዳ ዝኾኑ ደኳትርናን ነርሳትናን
- ክብርን ኣድናቖትን ነቲ ንስነ-ፍልጠታውን ሕክምናውን ምኽሪ ሰሚዑ ዝውስንን ዝመርሕን መንግስቲ
- ክብርን ኣድናቖትን ነቶም ንቕሓት ህዝቢ ንምብራኽ ለይትን መዓልትን ዝሰርሑ ስነ-ጠበባውያንን ነጠፍትን
- ከምኡ እውን ንሓደጋኛነት ናይዚ ለበዳ ብምርዳእ፡ ህዝብናን ሃገርናን ንምድሓን፡ ግበሩ ከይተባሃልና ብድድ ኢልና ንሓባራዊ ዕማም ስለዝወፈርናን ኢደይ-ኢድካ ስለዝበልናን፡ ነቲ ለበዳ ንምስዓር ብክኢላታት ዝወሃቡ መምርሒታት ስለዝተኸተልናን፡ ክብርን ኣድናቖትን ንዓና፡ ንህዝቢ ኤርትራ።
ይኹን እምበር፡ እዚ ውጽኢት’ዚ ከዛንየና የብሉን። ክሳብ ሕጂ ንኣንፈት ለበዳ ሕማም COVID-19 ንድሕሪት መሊስናዮ ኣለና። ምሉእ ብምሉእ ክጸርን ክጸራረግን ግን ኣተኩሮና ክነሕይል ኣለና።
ካብኡ ሓሊፉ ግን፡ እቶም ኣሃዛት ባዕሎም ይዛረቡ ስለዘለዉ፡ ካብዚ ንንየው ምጽሓፍ ምህውታት ጥራይ እዩ ክኸውን ዝኽእል እሞ ሰላም ዎ ሰናይ።
